Nyköping Climbing Club sets up in Skavsta

The Nyköping Climbing Club, which offers both indoor and outdoor climbing, has long been searching for new club premises and a climbing gym. When suitable premises became available in Skavsta, they seized the opportunity immediately. The facility is located on Rotevägen in the F11 district and measures approximately 440 sqm, with the largest section of 185 sqm boasting a ceiling height of 6.5 meters.

With support from Leader Sörmlandskusten, RF-SISU, and Nyköping Municipality, the Nyköping Climbing Club will build approximately 240 square meters of bouldering walls with crash pads, and about 60 square meters of walls for roped climbing and conducting rope climbing courses. The hall will also feature a small fitness area and a social space for members to gather.
